About Me

Mr. (Joey) Bianchi, Educator

Hello, hello everyone! Here is a small snapshot of who I am beyond the classroom.

I grew up in the South Bay (not San Francisco), just southwest of Los Angeles, and I spent most of my adolescence in and around the Beach Cities. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, it’s where they filmed La la Land, 90210, and Pineapple Express. That probably didn’t help much.

I started tutoring in 2010 while attending UCLA. I fell in love with teaching others math and, more importantly, helping families and students achieve their academic goals. Seeing students have their “aha” moments and getting to know the families I served has always been the most satisfying part of being involved in education. Click to read reviews!

But now, after seven years in the classroom that spanned through…some global thing that happened in 2020 and over a decade of tutoring, I’m pivoting and expanding my tutoring “side hustle” into a more full-time endeavor. Here are some of my credentials:

13 years as a tutor all over Los Angeles (Palos Verdes to Brentwood)
Seven years in the classroom and a fully credentialed teacher (including AP classes)
BS. in Applied Mathematics, UCLA ‘12

Lastly, on a more personal note, I’m more than just a math tutor. I’m married to an amazing wife and have two incredible children. I enjoy running marathons, playing video games, and watching movies and tv with my family. Be sure to follow my socials to always Go Beyond the Classroom.
